Hiking
Here are some of my favorite hikes in North America:
1) Yosemite
A classic – did many hikes there;

Some areas are quite crowded – especially the ones you can easily get to by car; but otherwise neat.

2) Sequoia:
Did a few shorter and one 2-day hike there;

Lovely red woods, and, as I discovered, bears;
-
It was nice to get away from the crowds.
